History of Department:
Welcome to the Department of Computer Science.
Computer plays an important role in our day-to-day life of digital revolution. The progress in the field of Computer Science is never ending process. The Department of Computer Science was initiated in the year 2008 affiliated to Burdwan University. It provides an undergraduate course- B.Sc. Computer Science Honours. The course curriculum was earlier (1+1+1) system oriented under Burdwan University. From the 2017-18 academic sessions, it came under the affiliation of Bankura University. The syllabus for the course has been revised in Choice Based Credit Systems (CBCS) from the academic year 2017 under Bankura University. At present the Department enrols thirty (30) honours graduate students each year. After graduating, the students either choose for Post-graduation (M.Sc.), MCA or get well placed in IT industry or any Govt. Jobs.

Departmental Facilities:
- Software laboratory with 10 Computers and are well connected through LAN and have hardware lab equipment.
- 01 HP laser printer cum scanner.
- The Computer Science laboratory of this college has new PCs which are being used not only by the Computer Department students but also by the faculty members and students of other departments.
- Sufficient numbers of text books are available in the Central Library.
- High speed internet facilities in all computers for students and teachers.
